Since upgrading to 1.4.3 we have lost access to all our remote hyperv servers. the error we get is solidcp cant connect to the remote servers as below, this was all working on 1.4.2 and the versions before, only since upgrading we are having this issue..

Unable to connect to Hyper-V server

Possible reasons:

  1. You are going to manage remote Hyper-V server (either Server Core or Hyper-V Server 2008 machine) where SolidCP Server is not installed. Type the correct server name at the top of this form and then click "Connect" button.
  2. SolidCP Server has insufficient permissions to connect remote Hyper-V server. Please refer administrator guide for client and server setup instructions.
  3. Lost connectivity with SolidCP Server installed on Hyper-V virtualization server. Check connectivity and open service properties page once again.

it couldn't be possible since the 1.4.1 Hyper-V remote server was broken, and has been fixed in the 1.4.3.

Please be sure that you correctly update all your SolidCP files and modules.

Hi,

As I have indicated this worked up to 1.4.2 using the remote option..  My question is how easy is it to go back to 1.4.1.  Is it possible or not ? I have provisioned about 100 vps using this option. Yes we could only provision the vps on the main server, then manually move them using hyperv manager and changing the server id in the db, but the management worked and the users could reboot and stop their servers etc.

At least we could communicate with the remote servers now we cant even connect to them.

Trevor actually responsed on 17 - 06 - 2017  with the option to use the remote option which worked from then until we upgraded to 1.4.3.

The new version is moaning about permissions all of a sudden sinc e the upgrade.. we have 12 servers running like this.

Here are the errors on the controlling server
