Everything worked well, until I restarted server.

now when I want browse http://portal_site:9001, it says 403 forbidden.

I checked all permissions on solidcp folder.

I checked that windows authentication is disabled.

I checked that all application pools are running.

What to check next?

Can you access it locally from the portal server itself?

Check the IIS bindings for SolidCP Portal website, does it still have the host header for your portal page and is it still using port 9001?

I can't access locally from the portal server itself.

Bindings are Ok. Host name is blank, ip addresses - *, and port 9001.

IIS stopped working for non-ssl -> I can't access default IIS web page on port 80. However, may access custom website on port 443.

I checked SSL settings for all websites. "Require SSL" is unchecked.

What to check next?

What if I reinstall "web service" role to reset iis to defaults? Then, may I add SolidCP sites and application pools manually?

Restarting the server should not cause this issue unless you have made changes in IIS settings before rebooting your server. Did you make any changes in IIS before rebooting?

Also, if you do not have any live account in solidCP, you can remove all three components and reinstall it. If you have live data, you should find the root cause of this because you may face this issue again.

Actually, the only change was installing solidcp server. After installing solidcp I've never restarted server.

I don't have any live accounts.

  1. So first I will remove all 3 components,
  2. then reinstall IIS (definitely something wrong with iis)
  3. install again 3 components

The question, is it safe to remove components? Database won't be removed?
