Thanks Marco,

that was what it caused to fail. In the DAG1, none of the databases were included for provisioning. There are many other databases, but obviously one in DAG1 was where it wanted to create the mailbox (well, I specified DAG1 in config, however, it was not clear for me that I can't select a database myself later on).

After I got a Hosted Organization, the Setup of the Global Exchange Mailbox Plan went through without problems.

Have a nice weekend!

uh, well, there is none. However, I cannot add one as it errors out.

In the MSExchange Management Log I can see it tries to run

New-Mailbox -PublicFolder

however, there are two errors in the command as the parameters include -Publicfolder "TRUE" while the switch is used without value plus it tries to use database "DAG1" which is not a database but a database availibility group

Best Regards,

Hi Marco,

thanks for info, However, there is nothing on that page that suggests I missed something. When I omit some info, the 'Update' button does not get active and I can see the red star and a message 'please enter value'. However, after I fill out everything and 'add new', nothing happens except the 'update' button getting activated.

As a poc I have installed SolidCP before in a new Exchange Setup. That worked well after some minor problems. This time, I went to plan the migration to SolidCP, so the Exchange install is already up and running for years. I installed a SolidCP Server on one of the Exchange Servers.

How can I view a log of things happening? I am afraid I can't find one except the IIS logs. On the SolidCP Server there are only GET requests to /AutoDiscovery.asmx

Normally if it doesn't do anything a small red * appears behind one of the required fields (it's not obviouse at all which is something we should still improve).

Usually after the required field is filled it will add the plan.

As far as the video goes: we mainly focus on getting SolidCP working with exchange, not so much as how to setup and configure exchange it self (as technically thats really up to the exchange admin, common things would be to configure send/receive connectors, virtual directory internal and external urls, srv or autodiscover redirect, Public folders Primary hierarchy, Database settings to remove limitations, either way quite a list as how we normally deploy Exchange for customers (with or without SolidCP).

Hi,

I try to follow the video to create a Hosted Exchange Configuration.

I must admit I dont understand what I need to do as the video covers more than Exchange and I cant tell what actually I have to do to get Exchange up and running without having configured more than what is needed.

However, I was able to create a Server, Virtual Server, Hosting Plan, User, and Hosting Space.

Now I am supposed to create a Mailbox Plan. After I filled out the form I can click on the "Add New" Button, the "Update" button turns yellow, however, nothing else happens. I am stumped now as there is no information at all, it just does not do anything. I have tried two different browsers already but the outcome is the same.

Any help is appreciated,

Klaus
