i successfully installed the solidcp through the 5min guide but i can’t see anywhere in my server admin account on databases the SQL server and the MYSQL server there is only the ODBC DSNs neither MySQL nor SQL server 2017…how can i configure them correctly or is any step by step guide to configure?
It also should have chat aswell, but i can send you an email instead if you prefer?
(CLA is just required to avoid any complications legal wise to publish or contribute anything to SolidCP)
I have registered as a contributor but I’m not sure how I am meant to submit the guides. All I was given was a gitlab account kinda confused.
Happy to hear that.
I think the easiest way is to sign up to the contrubutors license: https://solidcp.com/contributors/contributors-license-agreement/
(i would mention my direct email here, unfortunately bot nets etc scower the net for email addresses etc to spam, so i try to avoid that publically).
From there we can speak private (mail) or in livechat 🙂
Of course i can publish them on the site. currently working on beginners guide for installation as the current guide not too easy to understand.
If there is any way i can contact you directly would be great.
@peleya : Did you install the mysql asp.net connector? as without it asp.net (such as SolidCP) can’t connect to the mysql server.
@abdel112 : It’s great that your working on guides (SolidCP really is slacking behind on this part).
Would you be willing to publish them on the SolidCP site ?
I am currently in the middle of creating a bunch of guides on how to configure solidcp as the current guides are a little bare.
Il updates this post once iv uploaded the guides.
Please remove if this is against the T.O.S
every time i configure the MySQL server shows me this error message: Service installation results
Could not connect to the specified MySQL Server: The host localhost does not support SSL connections.
i tried with Set SSLMode to None but nothing happened
I’m afraid there’s no such guide out there yet.
However it’s relatively easy.
SolidCP Server should be installed on each server hosting a service (Mysql / mssql / etc) If they are on the same server as the current one – just make sure mysql is installed, install the asp.net connector aswell. You can then go to configuration –> Servers –> settings –> Scroll to the Mysql or mssql –> Click add (right side) select your version and add it to SolidCP.
Then the main thing is to set the url’s for the SQL’s, (internal and external), set username and password (i normally make a custom one for that).
And thats about it.
