Hi,

I.am a little confused about add a Virtual directory...

When i create a Virtual directory in SolidCP, its actually is a Application and the behavor from the server is total diffrent.

So how can i make a Virtual directory as when i right click in IIS manager "Add Virtual Directory"

not like creating "Add Application" in IIS.

I Hope you understand. 🙂

Hello,

I understand what you mean. I think this is carried from some confusion when the original provider was created (There was some confusion in IIS6 around Virtual directories and virtual applications).

At the moment there is no way to make a true Virtual Directory but I am not aware of any issues with using a virtual application over a virtual directory. Do you have a specific case that would need this?

Thanks,

Hi,

I have a reseller that have several hundred of sites and using Virtual Directory for a web application.

And its essential for us that they can create that from SolidCP.

I have asked them about this and they say.

"Reason we want a virtual directory is that we only need to read basic image files from it. We dont need the extra boundary of an application.

Virtual applications will inherit configurations from the parent (in asp.net)"

Is it possible for you to implement this in SolidCP? Timeframe?

Regards

Pelle

Hello,

We can add it to the list to be created but we would be unable to give a time frame.

If you want to sponsor the development of this module to get it done faster then if you submit a request via the contact page we can give you more details on the cost.

Kind Regards,
