For me too this is no longer working, when you add new domain it shows the expiry date but its not getting refreshed / updated for old domains or once domain is expired and renewed.

I am having the same problem now too, I click run and it runs forever and does not stop or update...this is a recent problem, it used to work fine.

True as a project might and with new tlds, but as a customer they want to have their domain expiry dates to look proper and cant debate much on that.

Have checked at my end, port 43 outbound is open but still expiry update not getting updated.

Hey,

This does still work as i can see domains are updating however it is limited to some domains due to how the whois server responds and doesnt provide the information.

It has been noticed that before some whois servers block specific networks which can cause these to not update. One thing is to check you allow port 43 outbound as this is used to connect to the whois servers.

As a project im not sure how useful these expiry dates are to everybody espically when they only allow a limit amount of TLDs.

Hi, Is this feature working any more ! have tried multiple times and task shows running but its actually not checking / updating domain expiry dates, even for .com / net / org

Request to update if any way around.

@m-heydariraybod-ge Its not possible for it to be set. When the task is ran with the type: "Check Domain expiration date" is ran it is then updated.

Hello, It's an odd feature introduced in one of the last changes in WebsitePanel. You can get it to check experation dates using the scheduled task on serveradmin. So go to Serveradmin --> scheduled tasks --> Add scheduled task --> Check domain Experation date this should lookup most domains for you (seems for me it only did .com .net domains, i just enabled lookup non-existent which might remedy that but have to wait untill cron finished). It's currently not possible to disable this feature. Regards, Marco
