Hey Guys,

I was following the video instructions on setting up exchange 2016 on my SolidCP environment which was a great video.

I had no problems creating the Hosted Organization and a user in the organization.

But when I went to attach a mailbox to the existing user i got the following error.

Error creating mailbox. See audit log for more details.

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Exception: Error executing 'CREATE_MAILBOX' task on 'mattlok' EXCHANGE ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> Connecting to remote server outlook.mixtapehosting.space failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation. Verify that the specified computer name is valid, that the computer is accessible over the network, and that a firewall exception for the WinRM service is enabled and allows access from this computer. By default, the WinRM firewall exception for public profiles limits access to remote computers within the same local subnet. Hello,

Connecting to remote server outlook.mixtapehosting.space failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation

Is an indication that your Hosted Exchange Powershell url isn't correct.

make sure that:

  1. powershell is an internal fqdn (so no external / cluster names but the local servername + domain of an Exchange CAS server such as https://myserver1.localdomain.local/powershell )
  2. Make sure it's a https url, http will never work.
  3. make sure in Exchange ECP --> Servers --> Virtual Directories --> Powershell has "integrated windows auth" checked.

Once all is set do an iisreset on the exchange cas with the solidCP server on it, and it should be working

Hi Marco,

Thanks for the advice.

I did the changes as outlined in your instructions.

Now I got a different error when trying to create the mailbox

Error creating mailbox. See audit log for more details.

Hi marco,

i finally figured it out.

i guess i did not follow your steps exactly.

i missed step.

the part where you are IIS and in the website you selected SolidCP and then to the right hand side of the screen you selected bindings.

In the bindings dialog box, you had changed the assigned IP to Assigned to All on the dropdown box.

That did the trick.

Hopefully this will help others as well.
