Hi,

We have an odd issue.  On one of our servers when we try to install a Let's Encrypt certificate the application logs shows an error stating "Account creation on ACMEv1 is disabled. Please upgrade your ACME client to a version that supports ACMEv2" etc.

However, on another of our servers we don't have the issue at all.  On that one Let's Encrypt certificates install fine without error.  They are both using the same SolidCP server files.

I'm not sure why one has the issue and the other doesn't.  Any ideas?  If it is that we need to upgrade letsencrypt_win_simple on the server that errors how can we check which version each server is using?

We are using SolidCP v1.4.3.  If the answer is to upgrade to v.1.4.4 is is possible to resolve without upgrading at this time?

Thanks

Pete

Is it an existing certificate on the other server? I see ACMEv1 deprecation has begun and new account registrations stopped as of November 2019...

This does however pose the problem that the Lets Encrypt software shipped with SolidCP needs updating. I believe you need to move to v2 or above of letsencrypt_win_simple (now called WACS - Windows ACME Simple) to get ACMEv2 support. Current version is 1.9.7.0

If anyone has info on how it can be upgraded, that would be great!

Ignore the above - wacs is also shipped with SolidCP. I'm guessing it's still due to the deprecation of ACMEv1 but I couldn't tell you why.

It is a new certificate on SolidCP.  However, thinking about it, this is the first certificate installed on this server.  Therefore maybe this is due to new account registrations not being accepted via ACMEv1 as of November 2019?

Do you know if moving to SolidCP v1.4.4 would make the process then use ACMEv2?

Ok, I've tested on another server that was failing and it looks like upgrading to v1.4.4 solves the issue.

Thanks
