Hi All,

I am looking at making the portal secure but not 100% how to go about it. Are we able to generate a LE certificate for the portal from within itself?

My server does not have AD and is not part of a domain.

Warm regards,
Adam

Hello,

The Portal it self doesn't have this option (yet) it just creates it for websites hosted by the portal currently.

We are planning to expand it to portal/enterprise/server / ftp /webdav but that won't be ready till next version.

You could optionally run the command manually from the SolidCP ServerbinLetsEncrypt

As solidcp uses the Letsencrypt win simple client t do the work you could technically just tell it the SiteID from the portal to make a certificate for it. do make sure you put the portal on a port 80 binding first.

Regards,

Marco

Hi Marco,

Would it be possible to have some further details on this please?

Perhaps a tutorial? I'm sure those installing SolidCP would find this very useful 🙂

Many thanks,
Adam
