Slightly off SolidCP topic... But we are all in the same boat.

What does everyone use for their multi-tenant spam filtering solution? We are currently using Xeams which works fine, but it can be a pain to search stuck e-mails with lots of people using it, I would like a solution where users could check their own spam.

Thanks.

Hello,

We generally recommend Mailcleaner (the opensource or enterprise version, easy to cluster, and since SolidCP 1.0.4 beta it is also supported by the panel).
It has easy tracing options for admins.

it integrates with Active Directory so the second the domain is created all exchange mail users can login to the filter to customize their own settings (tag / quarantine/  drop,  whitelist, blacklist, etc).

Regards,

Marco

Hi Marco,

I have previously used Mailcleaner but I found it let too much spam through, do you have any issues with it? do you have the enterprise or open source version?

Thanks

We use the opensource version our selfs.
main important thing is to configure the blacklists, and other checking methods properly.
in addition for the opensource version you need to make a custom script to update clamav and spamassassin properly every day (else it never updates which in return lets more spam go through).

Thank you, I may have take another look at it... roughly how many mailboxes do you run through it? When SolidCP 10.04 is released will it integrate into Mailcleaner?

We are only relatively small our selfs (so we have about 300 mailboxes + - going through it) though we have implemented it for hosts with 1000+ mailboxes without a problem.

SolidCP 1.0.4 beta already supports Mailcleaner (relatively simple it creates the domain and removes the domain as panel creates or removes domains through the API, it then inherits the Default domain properties inside mailcleaner it self)

Thank you Marco, I will do some testing this weekend and hopefully implement it over our current solution.
