I'm getting an error
Could not load file or assembly 'SolidCP.IIsModules, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=37f9c58a0aa32ff0' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
And I can't seem to find any information on where to download the files for the secured folders. Is there a download available because I've checked the server and the dll doesn't appear to be installed.

This is a windows 2012 server and I used your installer to install the standalone version of solidCP

Thanks,

Brian

Hello,

IIS Modules is basically a legacy module to support .htaccess (it's a seperated project).
i would generally not recommend using it as by default many sites (including wordpress/ joomla) will error on most .htaccess scripts due to unknown htaccess commands.

It's generally better if you turn off secured folders or use helicon ape if you need to support htaccess.

Regards,

Marco

Hi Marco,

Can you tell me where to find the IIS Modules project because I don't have the option of using ape and I have legacy sites that use secured folders.

Thanks.

Alright, well i would highly recommend to do the auth through Windows auth especially if you have MS FTP it's pretty easy to do.

For the IISModules:
https://iismodules.codeplex.com/

Do note you will have to change the DLL name in the IIS service settings inside SolidCP Portal.

Dear Marco,

Did you ever manage to solve this?

I have a similar problem as well.

That old project used to be located on codeplex it still has it's page: https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=iismodules however the site is currently heavily warned against infections.. so please proceed with care (i have no idea if this site or download is still "legit"
