I am having database issues, as our website management tool went from website panel, too MSP Control and too SolidCP, and there has been server changes on the dns and mail server.  So it does not work.

What I want to know is that I already have a web server running, a dns server running, and a mail server.  If I want to delete all the old configurations website management tools and install the latest version of SolidCP.  Is there any recommendations that any of you have??.  Will this erase existing websites already created, or dns entries on the dns server.  Is there any way to import all the existing information into Solidcp??? and what is the best way to get this up and running.

Hello,

If you want to start again you should follow the instructions at https://solidcp.com/kb/installation/install-solidcp-standalone-server-within-5-minutes/ but make sure to use a fresh database.

You will then be able to add your servers, hosting plans etc and import the resources to users.

Regards,

Trevor

Hello,

I believe I am close to having everything back and running, except on the bind setup under dns there is the below field

Zone File Name Template:

I cannot find any documentation on this.  Do you know what the syntax they use for this, or where I can find the documentation

Hello,

I have taken a look at the code and i believe this is a zone on your bind server which is used to make a new zone when a domain is DNS enabled.

Trevor
