Unable to Import Email Domains

I'm trying to import SmarterMail 15.7 email domains into SCP v1.4.7, but it is not working. I go to the customer account for whom I want to import a mail domain. I go to Space Stats, click Import Resources, select the mail domain to import, click the Import Resources button, click OK to Proceed, and it immediately displays the Import Items dialog. The progress bar is already fully green, it says, "Task has been finished", it shows a start time, and a duration of 00:00:00, and shows a Close button. I click Close, go to the customer's Hosting Space menu, click Mail and select Accounts only to see that nothing has been imported.

Am I doing something wrong; am I missing something???

I can create a new mail domain just fine by creating a new customer domain then creating an email address on that domain. It just will not import existing domains since they've been migrated to this server. SmarterMail has been up and running fine for a little more than two weeks.

Thanks!

Scott

Is there no answer for this?  Resource import is supposed to be a feature of SCP, is it not?  And importing email domains is a pretty big issue for most folks I would think.  It is not working for my installation, and no one has any suggestions???

hi,

I am too using SM 15.x with SCP 1.4.2 and able to use import mailbox without any issues, can you check and confirm that hosting plan assigned for the customer account has the requirement limits, e.g: if customer account has 5 user limit and you are trying to import domain with 10 users then it will not work.

Thanks

Hi Beamer:

Thanks for the reply.  We're a small company, and I have just one hosting plan, which is unlimited for everything.  SolidCP is primarily for my convenience; my clients don't want to worry with that type of thing.  In any case, the domain I've been try to start with has only 3 users (including system.domain.admin ) and 2 aliases, so that's not it.

Any other ideas??? 🙂

Hello,

Have you tried to look at the SolidCP audit log and windows error log? This might tell you the problem.

We do use the legacy API currently and i know in the past other functions have been changed such as forward which has issues if trying to send to multiple users.

Regards,

Trevor
