I'm in the process of testing upgrading and older exchange 2010 server to exchange 2016. I'm looking for a good way to do this. Are there any suggestions on how this should be done? Is there a best practice document you guys may have?

We currently have 2010 servers on the old WSP and we want to get them moved to a SolidCP portal. I originally anticipated just creating a co-existance with exchange 2010 and exchange 2016. Adding the 2016 servers to SolidCP and then after moving all of the mailboxes to 2016 enabling the account on the SolidCP side. This however was cut short when the provisioning of the organization rolls back because the public folder mailbox can't be created because the master is set to -holdformigration.

Any suggestions would be great.

Hello,

SolidCP does work in the co-existing environment but can only make the mailbox's on the version holding the OAB / PF. So you would need to keep SolidCP connected to Exchange 2010 and once the migration is completed you can move it to Exchange 2016.

Thanks,

Trevor
