Hi

Since the redirection of the WSP website there is no way to access the manuals that used to be on there for things like setting up a new server from scratch. I did look in the Manuals section on here but could not find what I was looking for.

Do you have the Administration manual that shows how to use the control panel and configure each of the modules available.

I believe it was originally provided by DNP as a PDF and then WSP made it into some web pages. We have only recently upgraded from 1.2.1 to SolidCP 1.03 and there are a few new features that I am not familiar with and would like to know more about them.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello,

Unfortunately our documentation is still a work in progress (as there's alot to document properly).

What would you like to know in specific ? as i should be able to help you with it meanwhile. and if time allows me push it directly to a manual 🙂

Regards,

Marco

No problem and thanks for your offer. A few of the things that I was going to check was:

"Web Platform Installer Settings"
A current URL for this as we still use https://www.microsoft.com/web/webpi/4.2/webproductlist.xml which is outdated

Backups - I see there is an option for "Backups Folder Path" now so has this improved since 1.2.1 in any way?

"Hosted Organizations" Menu - Is there any way to turn this off? We are primarily a Web +VPS Hosting company and don't use the control panel for Exchange hosting

"System Hard Quota" - This is a new feature, is there more information on this and how we can use it or what impact it has.

"Auto Update Servers" - How do we configure this as we get an error "Directory \192.168.xxx.xxxC$WebsitePanelServer not found" when trying to run it.

Sorry i there are a lot of questions!

If I think of any more I will just post them as new Questions.

Thanks

Mark Donne

The web deploy url:

change it to 5.0 (i think is latest) in system settings.
Bakcups have not had alot of work so i assume it's still relatively similar. it is scheduled to be improved in v1.2.0. (not next stable but the one after)

Hosted organizations menu is scheduled to be fixed (fix will be released before august) till then i am afraid it's due to codes why it keeps appearing so no way to turn it off yet.

Hard quota:
You need file resource service manager installed.
it will allow you to make sure none of your customers go over the "set limit"
while without it enabled your customers can continue to use more disk space even though they only had for example 100mb in their hosting plan.

Auto update servers:
It currently requires network access, it is scheduled to be improved in v1.1.0 released in august (with it some proper documentation)

and no worries about the questions, thats what i am here for haha 🙂

I'm always happy to help
