Wonder if anyone can help, trying a new install of SolidCP and upon trying to log in for the first time its just refreshing the login page and removing the password, if i enter the wrong information it knows, but the correct information wont let me log in.

It sounds like an IE bug (seen it on some servers, i assume it's due to some IE advanced settings but never looked into it more thoroughly), can you reproduce this issue on Firefox or Chrome?

No nothing, i dont understand it, unless its something to do with the user accounts?
hmm shouldn't be, if you installed with the installer it should have sufficient permissions to do what it needs to. only issues i generally saw when it doesn't work is due to custom IIS Settings (such as filter and restrictions) and some IE bug (but they never applied to chrome or ff)
If you want i can take a quick look on your server
Just sorted it, the web config file in portal was wanting windows auth rather than form.
