I think your current solution might work,
I will implement it in my local test lab and see how it gets by 🙂
Do you want to commit the fix your self to our git or want me to do it on your behalf?
If you could commit it that would be great. I just downloaded the source, and have made several testing changes so I would not want to submit those. Also I have limited experience with git. If there is documentation on how to properly submit changes back for review and potential implementation that would be great. I'm looking at the distribution lists (which is a considerably bigger change and I see why it has never taken any priority).

I'm afraid there's not yet any manual that covers the development aspects (including git), it is in the planning of being made.
In the mean time i could teach you how to no problem.
PS: Are you already a contributor? and signed up in git? if so i can teach you through Contributors chat (goes much quicker)
