Hi guys,

got a problem wich i'm unable to find any solution for...

For one tenant organization, contacts are created with a primarysmtpaddress set to @tenantdomain.com  instead of what it should be (ex: externamail@hotmail.com)

In solidcp panel, email address seems good but in outlook or when i'm having a closer look in ecp this external mail (externalmail@hotmail.com) is not set as primary and its like "smtp:externalmail@hotmail.com,SMTP:externalmail@tenantdomain.com")

Do someone have any idea?

Thx in advance and sorry for my english 🙂

Regards,

Jinx

Hello,

the contact is set to @tenantdomain.com due to segregation purpouses, it's not ideal however we did not find a good work around for this yet neither. The issue has been logged here: https://github.com/FuseCP/SolidCP/issues/5

The reason why you can't make the contact externalmail@hotmail.com is cause it would then only allow the contact to be added once in your entire panel, while maybe you have multiple customers with the same contact requirement.

I hope we can have a better workable solution in the future. (it will be updated in github).

Regards,

Marco

Hello Marco,

thx for your answer but what i don't get is that it has worked for months:)

i'm using a scheduled to script to work around the problem and deliver the good smtp but it remains a workaround and not a real solution :'(

Hmm, the function should of always had this issue (it's been like this since the first 2010 contact module in DNP / WSP).

In general most functions should still work, but it's causing some issues with for example calendar permissions or having the same contact aswell as mailbox on the same server.
