Hi,
Since the last update that you applied on our server, we encounter a problem : when we tried to create a new distribution list, that create a security group on our Exchange server instead of a distribution group.
Is there a way to transform a security group into a distribution group?
Thank you.
Best regards,

Hello?Nobody?
Hi Abad42,
We updated SolidCP to the version 1.4.4 a couple of months ago and we found out this week that we are having the same issue you have described.
We are able to go around the problem by going back to the Active Directory and by changing the object to Distribution Group instead.
Mailboxes are managed by our IT Support and we don't want them to go back and forth through the AD.
Are you using the same version than us ?
I keep investigating on my side but if anyone has a clue we'll be happy to hear it !

Hello,
I am facing with same issue.Any Update ?
Hello,
I have tested this on our own environment (SolidCP 1.4.7 + Exchange 2016 latest CU).
The distrubution group created works fine, and delivers email correctly, shows up in Exchange aswell as you would expect.
I think in the past in SolidCP / WebsitePanel it was always labeled a security group with universal selected.
Does the Dlist not function for you guys? if so on which exchange version / cu pack?
Regards,
Marco
