Hello,

I'm trying to import an organization in solidCP.

I moved the whole OU into the hostedOrg OU, and when I run the import tool, I want it to create a new organization (so that it can import existing public folders and default group).

I'm getting an error: Organization temp domain name is not specified.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm trying to avoid creating the org first in solidCP, then migrate stuff over.

In case somebody else has this issue.

You need to use a temp domain name under servers/hosted organizations.

You can then import an org that had been previously created with solidcp/mspc.

Then, you'll have an issue which I found the answer for:

From your error the AddressBookPolicy inside the SolidCP database is empty.

Out the top of my head this value is in the database table: ServiceItemProperties.

Hello,

That would be one way around it yes.

What i normally do is this:

Create a new org for the user, same domain but different Hosted org ID (like if you previously used hosted org id  mydomain1.com use the ID mydomain1).

You then have 2 options:

  1. (My favorite) in ServiceItemProperties (i think out of my head) you just adjust the Org ID value to the mydomain1.com value, OAB domain.com, Rooms list, GAL, Address list to the mydomain1.com value.
  2. second option: Move AD users/ groups to the new OU, adjust the ABP to the mydomain.com value. (this normally takes more time as it's for each mailbox).

Regards,

Marco

Thought of that too, but then a new public folder mailbox gets created. Which I was trying to avoid, as it's a pain to migrate.

Actually the PF will then just be an empty one.

You can remove it once moved the DB values to the .com again as original Org ID (option 1).

Option 2 would require pffix to run to adjust all mailbox accounts.
