Hello,
i am planning to migrate a working exchange 2013 websitepanel environment to exchange 2016. In the past times i had some problems with the exchange 2013 CU overwriting some websitepanes settings, wich caused a lot of problems with the AD.
Now, before migrating, i would like to ask, if my solidcp settings can be effected by the exchange 2016 update after migrating websitepenal? Did anybody have any problems with the update? Should i build a sandbox environmente first?
Regards,
Niko
Well the only thing that would probably be overwritten is the Virtual Powershell module, this you will have to re-apply in ECP . you might also want to double check your OWA is set to UPN auth instead of the default.
everything else should go pretty smooth, just make sure you take a file backup of Portal, Enterprise, Server, and a db backup. then go ahead with the update, in any case of an issue you can easily restore things.
I would recommend to first move to SolidCP and then update to 2016 (as solidcP supports both 2013 and 2016, while if you update exchange first and then solidcp your websitepanel will meanwhile not function).

Marco
