Just a supid question, but I can't see anywhere where I can add a hosting addons, to an existing customer.

We was only using the systems to Exchange before, but have now add Websites.

Hello,

Not stupid at all, as we didn’t modify this to be more user friendly yet it’s more or less still a bit hidden as with WSP:

If you go to the customers home –> click on Space Statistics –> on the right side bar click “Edit Details”

In the edit page you can change hosting plan and add addon’s to the space.

Do make sure that the addon's belong to the same server or virtual server the hosting plan belongs to in your case:

  1. Make a virtual server with system resource, website, ftp, from the Web server, Exchange and hosted Org from the Exchange server
  2. Assign the Virtual server in the hosting plan
  3. Create addons with the same virtual server

This way everything will go flawless 🙂

Regards,

Marco

Thx for the Virtual server :).

We now have 100 Exchange customer, what will happen if i make a virtual server, and set it up in the hosting plan.

Will it moved some of the hosting exchange systems to our website server?

For existing users nothing will change, those settings in general are only used on the setup of each hosting space.

Which will also make it a bit tricky to make them workable with the Virtual server as it more or less means you need to swap them in the database with some queries.

that more or less varies but let me give some details:

1) If you need to change the System space you need to check the ServiceID from the old AND new service.

you can do so by looking at the url of each service in the panel

A service url will look something like:
Default.aspx?pid=Servers&mid=223&ctl=edit_service&ServiceID=20&ServerID=11

and adjust the ServerID from the exchange server to the Virtual Server serverID (also can be found in the url)
