Hi developers,

what's the date of latest SolidCP update? Do you plan and have REAL PLANS to keep developing SolidCP in the future?

Why asking?
Because I went with (excellent) HELM CP in the past, which was then sold to concurent company soon. Then I picked up DotNEtPanel, which seized, then WebSitePanel, which also was abandoned project...And I am really looking for some longer term support CP by NEW players. Is SolidCP one of those?

EDIT
Sorry, release dates are really missing on RELEASES page...but found them under BLOG. Maybe it would be more natural to add dates to release page, too? Just my 2 cents.

Hello,

We do our best to release a new stable version every 3 months. (last one being a few weeks back)

Last few times this was missed by about a month (so every 4 months) due to some issues/ fixes that needed to happen before we where satisfied with the stable release.

SolidCP actually has some old DotNetPanel developers as part of our contributors, aswell as former website panel contributors (including my self) since websitepanel beta1, so i am not really sure if we can call our selfs new players, but i can say we are here to stay 🙂

Our plans / changes are described in the latest blog post. i understand however with your past experience allocating the project under FuseCP might seem concerning, however this was purely chosen to avoid Trademark disputes and so forth (so we can really focus on the project and not on spending alot on legal matters).

Overall SolidCP runs a pretty tight ship, and activity on development is now also back to the public on github: https://github.com/FuseCP/SolidCP

We do run behind on some aspects (website/ documentation) which will get alot of focus in the next couple of months while making changes to move things under the FuseCP company.

adding the release dates in the changelog seems indeed like a logical / good practise and i will add that in the renewed site, thank you for the suggestion.

If you have any concerns, or questions please let me know i am always happy to answer them 🙂

Regards,

Marco
