Hi Trevor,
I think the post: https://solidcp.com/forum/question/mspcontrol-migration-from-version-1-0-0-6358/ is better explained about the Lets Encrypt. I have updated there with all the event logs from LE.
But basically, I think the LE is not validating Previews Domain, it is only working for valid domains.
