But there's 2 different SolidCP Server versions one for asp.net 2.0 (needed for Exchange 2010) and one for asp.net 4.x (recommended)

Hi Marco, thank you very much issue is now resolved after a manual update of SolidCP server, not sure why the automatic update ignored it. I am using Exchange 2013, my solidCP is not on the C: drive its on the E: drive not sure if this is why the auto update did not work.
