Hi Trevor, sorry to keep asking but under Web Policy -> Extensions -> ASP.net i choose 4.0 (Integrated) but it still creates as v2.0. Is this the setting?

Hello,

If you set it in your policies, and it's enabled on the hosting plan (asp.net v4) it should automatically assign the newly created site to that app pool.

It will however still create the asp.net 2.0's etc in addition so you can switch at later date.

Regards,

Marco

Hi Marco,

I can confirm that even setting Web Policy to 4.0 Integrated will not have App Pools default to 4.0 Integrated. It gets defaulted to 2.0 Integrated. Do you have this problem on your setup?

The hosting plan has v4 enabled as well.

I double checked to make sure nothing changed:

Yes, when i set my SolidCP Web policy in my dev lab to 4.0 integrated --> and create a new site it automatically sets the site to 4.0 integrated.

In my live environment it was already set to 4.0 integrated in the policy and it created all sites by default to 4.0 integrated (both before as current).

It might be worthy to note that in the Portal --> configuration --> Servers --> IIS service settings i have 64bit application pools enabled instead of the default 32 bit. but that shouldn't affect which application pool gets selected by default.

Hi Marco,

I can confirm that it is working. I had some old websites created under perhaps old settings which defaulted to 2.0 Integrated. But newer sites are all created under 4.0 Integrated. Thanks again!
