Instead of doing the overwrite method to swtich from WSP to SolidCP, are there plans to come out with a true fresh install with import of users from WSP database.  Even if it mean having to re-setup the services in SolidCP first?

Hello,

You should be able to do that by making a wsp backup file --> rename the extension to scpak and import.

Additionally there is a third party program that works on backing up / restoring from WSP / MSP / SCP and visa versa called "WBRM"

Regards,

Marco

Will look at WBRM, because we have never been able to get WSP to generate a valid backup file that could be used as a restore.

Alright,

Alternatively you could re-setup everything aslong as you use the old WSP database.

then execute the db upgrade script from SolidCP to process the changes.

Having had lived the nightmares of dealing with the upgrade process of WSP and having the database cause major issues during that process, we would rather have everything fresh and only have the user info imported into the new SolidCP Database, that way we have removed any of the old WSP info that may still remain from version 1.x, etc...
