Hi,

Currently when I go to:

http://cp.webhost07.com

I get the following error:
SolidCP ERROR
But, when I type in that URL from the Local Server no error.

When I go to:

http://23.96.38.155:9001

From outside of the local server no Error.

Would like to know how to solve this issue?

Is it the hard coded URL in the Portal?

What should it be?

It was a cookie issue 🙂

After deleting cookies saved from CP was able to go to

cp.webhost07.com

🙂

Hello,

There's no hard coded portal url.

You will need to check if: cp.webhost07.com is in the IIS Bindings

So go to iis management --> Websites --> SolidCP Portal --> Click on bindings.

then you can add http --> all ip's --> port: 80.  and set hostname to cp.webhost07.com

Regards,

Marco

That was the first thing I did 🙂

Question is why it works fine on the server, just not from external network?

Hi,

When I go to:

http://cp.webhost07.com:9002

http://cp.webhost07.com:9003

No Error and they are up and running.

Just for some reason when I go to

http://cp.webhost07.com:9001

or

http://cp.webhost07.com

I get error from outside of the server.

When I go to it directly from IP address no error from outside of the server.

http://cp.webhost07.com:9001 loads SolidCP Login for me.
http://cp.webhost07.com gets the default IIS site (which means missing binding).

You can do a ping cp.webhost07.com to see it resolves the right iP for you.

Its a DNS caching issue 🙂

Tried in different browser and it works.

Figured it was something simple!

If the url doesn't work for you still then it's most likely a DNS issue.
You can try and ping it, see what IP it resolves to for you.

If it's the wrong ip you can try ipconfig /flushdns but in most cases that won't do much as the cache is generally on the router / ISP.

If you want to force the DNS to resolve to your ip on your pc the most easy way is to temporary add it to your hosts file.

Want to say thank you for creating SolidCP!!!

I been trying to get MSPcontrol to work for over about a month.

Today installed and got up and running within about 30 mins!!

Now just fine tuning some things.

I'm glad you got it up and running quickly.
We still aim to improve the installation experience more easy in the future, (preconfiguring hardening and other finetuning steps for people automatically)

We do have very different philosophy then MSPControl when it comes to the same base code (WebsitePanel),
Our approach is in the name: A Solid panel (our main focus is bug free, and easy to use. Something hosts can build their business on).

Solid is the most important philosophy!

Thanks for your help and will be posting more as I run into other issues 🙂

Been using DotNetPanel --> WebSitePanel as a Reseller for about 5 years.

As a Server owner tried WebsitePanel no luck, MSPControl have major issues.

SolidCP seems good so far.
