Just noticed that the task scheduler service terminates immediately with the following error:

I have read this fix but worryingly I don't have a SolidCP.SchedulerService.exe.config file but I do have the .exe.

NOTE! When you copy the code by Marco into notepad you will have invalid ASCII characters. I replaced all characters including < ! - , ; etc.
Anything that starts with <!– is actually <!-- (there is actually two hyphens at the end but it doesn't show on the post!)
Anything ending with –> is actually --> (there is actually two hyphens at the beginning but it doesn't show on the post!)
