If it's on another server and not in a domain i don't think the current auto upgrade script can work for you.

It's not using the mssql login details in the SolidCP web.config as thats a database user only, to upgrade the SolidCP database you need to have sysadmin on the mssql server it self. (so more then just db sysadmin).
