So, I just installed the SolidCP Server v1.4.3 (ASP.Net 4.5) on a machine. I then logged into my SolidCP portal and proceeded to add the server to my servers list, and I get an error stating "Error getting remote server information"

The Audit Log shows on the "Source: Server   Task: Add" event:

00:00:00 AUTO_DISCOVERY_IS_INSTALLED

00:00:00 The signature or decryption was invalid ---> WSE523: The CipherData contents are invalid.
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters)
at SolidCP.AutoDiscovery.AutoDiscovery.IsInstalled(String providerName)
at SolidCP.EnterpriseServer.ServerController.IsInstalled(Int32 serverId, Int32 providerId)

Then I get A LOT of the following error filling up pages in the log "Source: AUTO_DISCOVERY   Task: IS_INSTALLED":

00:00:00 The signature or decryption was invalid ---> WSE523: The CipherData contents are invalid.
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters)
at SolidCP.AutoDiscovery.AutoDiscovery.IsInstalled(String providerName)
at SolidCP.EnterpriseServer.ServerController.IsInstalled(Int32 serverId, Int32 providerId)

Help!

-Ben

Hello,

WSE523: The CipherData contents are invalid.

generally means the SolidCP Server password is not correct.

Regards,

Marco

I ended up re-installing the Server on the remote system, then it worked and I was able to add it to my portal. ::Shrugs::

Thanks!
