When I set up a new website on Windows Server 2019 or 2022, it uses a generic Application Pool running as Network Service. The site-specific application pools are not created unless I use SolidCP to change the website settings.

Is there any fix for this, maybe a scheduled task to correct the settings as needed?

Hello,

Have you set the application pool defaults in solidcp?

Policies (bottom right) --> Web policy
make sure "Dedicated application pool" is set.

Other then that make sure it's allowed in the hosting plans.

For any dedicated app pool defaults you can set it in IIS --> application pools --> Defaults

Regards,

Marco

Yes, my mistake. It was enabled in the Web Policy, but I had failed to enable it in the hosting plan. Thanks!
