Hello,
OK, so it begins....
I am trying to reinstall using the configuration script. And the Setup Menu already brings me to these questions:
I read in the configuration script readme that all servers should be member of the domain, however, we do not have "the" domain, we have a lot of different uncoupled domains (one domain for exchange, a different domain for sharepoint, a different domain for server hosting... not trusts exist between the domains). Can solidcp be used in this scenario at all?
Which Servers do I have to include for a specific functionality to work, e.g. Exchange. Do we need to have solidcp server running on the exchange server only or do we need to install it to all servers sharing the setup, like all dc, all exchange servers, all dns servers)?
Thanks for help,
Klaus

Hello,
Yes SolidCP can be used in this scenario, it means you need a Hosted Org + Service for each offering.
Only big issue would be if you want to sell for example sharepoint + exchange + SfB under one space/ one external domain, as due to the different hosted orgs required they will need different spaces.
SolidCP on one exchange / hosted org is enough (exchange can also host the hosted org role aslong as it has AD Powershell and Group policy management mmc added as features).
DNS however requires on all dns servers assuming you use MS DNS without AD (so Primary / Secondary zones)
Regards,
Marco
