dear Trevor,

I do. As I said 3 websites on 9001, 9002 and 9003 are available locally and on internet using IPs and domain name, including 127.0.0.1 on server. 9002 and 9003 with status = running

SolidCP finally succeeded to fetch server properties.

This settings for each of 3 sites worked for me, maybe help someone:

PS. while this worked, there is still an annoying problem: if you make a change in settings for Panel, Server or Enterprise Server, bindings are overwritten and must be set again. It would be better if SolidCP installer could handle them.

regards

Hi,

I'm having some problems trying to trace what the problem could be.

Can you tell me if there is anything else logged on the servers Eventlog?

Kind Regards,

Trevor Robinson

Hello,

When you add the server are you simply heading:  http://127.0.0.1:9003  as server url? (and if you load it in browser its ok, so without the autodiscovery.asmx in the url).

Also make sure what the enterprise/portal / server are all the identical version.

Regards,

Marco

Actually I tried any possible way to get server properties, it was frustrating and now I don't remember exact steps in detail. This include reading through all related manuals and forum posts, multiple uninstalls and re-installs of SolidCP, configuring IIS, checking firewall, and testing system locally and from network.

Referring to the snapshot from previous post, my settings ended up with the first 2 lines in all 3 related sites by which I could get SolidCP running on <DefaultDomain:ports>. then “Error getting remote server information” occurred while adding server in "Server" tab.

I supposed this maybe something related to internal connection between panel and server. Besides, when I used <static IP:9001> from client I got invalid host error, so I added exact IP address and 127.0.0.1 to bindings and finally it got server properties without error. And you know, it took 12 working hours to figure it out, so right now no natural or supernatural force can push me to change or edit current settings to reproduce errors. It works, let it be!

I'm planning to install SolidCP on a new server in future. this time I will document it all.

And thank you so much for your kind attention and reply.
