Hi,
there are two organisations. In one organisation there is a mailbox with the email address: "address@domain.com" and I want to modify the mailbox plan. When I try I get the error:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Exception: Error executing 'SET_MAILBOXPLAN_RETENTIONPOLICY_ARCHIVING' task on 'address@domain.com' EXCHANGE ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Management.Automation.RemoteException: This operation requires a unique source object, but multiple objects have been found. Please remove any wildcard characters and check the data source for corruption.
I checked and found out that there is a contact with the same email address in another organisation (acme.com). It is there because they want to include this email in a distribution group in that organisation (acme.com).
Is there a way to overcome this issue?
Thanks
Hello,
This is indeed a tricky situation and part to do with Exchange limitations.
We have added it to our bug list and hopefully we can find a work around for this issue shortly.
Regards,
Marco
Hi Marco,
thank you for your reply. Maybe including the OU in the search might be useful if it is possible 🙂
