Hi,
anybody notice that when you add a DNS (A) record with a dot in it (for example test.test) it doesn't show up in the DNS zone editor, but it does show up in Microsoft DNS zone files and it seems to work and resolve.
Adding a sub-domain (test) will make that record show up in solidcp, but it's still in the primairy zone on Microsoft DNS and not in the sub DNS zone file.
I wonder what the right way would be.

Which MS DNS provider are you using?
the old one (wmi) or the powershell one?
As in my panel with the powershell (windows 2012+) dns provider i can not reproduce your issue.

I think we use the older style yes. I don't see 2012+ in our DNS provider.
Can we easily switch this over?
In the services database table you can simply change the provider ID to the 2012+ one (you can lookup which ID that is in the Poviders database table).
