I do not understand how I set up the DNS server.
1) Are the AD DNS servers used or are they dedicated servers that are not members of the domain?
I suspect that they are dedicated servers, but I'm not sure.
2) How to configure the DNS server in SolidCP Portal?
3) If someone has time with me to configure the DNS server via TeamViewer I would be very grateful. A Bottle of Single Malt Scotch you will get for your help 😉

Hello,
- AD DNS can only be members of the domain. it's not a recommended option unless you manage a local dns (non public).
- Install SolidCP Server on all your DNS servers, Add the DNS service to all that servers, chose which one is the primary dns --> configure the allowed ip's of the other dns servers (secondaries), set the NS names, and make sure you add the secondary dns's at the drop down box. In the Virtual Server add only the primary configured DNS server and leave the others.
- We can help you setup DNS no problem, however this would be either deployment service or premium support service (deployment are generally flat fee custom quotes, Premium support goes time based, prices can be found here: https://solidcp.com/services/server-support/ )
Please note that even though people check the forum questions out it doesn't mean they can answer it (it might just be people searching for an answer them selfs and hoped this one had a reply).
Regards,
Marco
