Enterprise Import Tool Problems

Hi there,

We want to import our existing hosted exchange users into SolidCP, but have run into an issue that has brought up some questions.

Our Portal and Enterprise Server are on different infrastructure than our AD/Exchange servers.  This means the Import tool cannot be run from our portal server as it wont be able to connect to AD, and it can't be run from the exchange side as then it can't connect to the enterprise server.

Is there a workaround for this?

Hello,

The Enterprise import tool requires access to the SolidCP Database and AD Domain.

I would recommend that you allow limited access from a Ad server running the Enterprise import tool to MsSQL.

I actually tried that and it complained about not being able to access the enterprise server.

I ended up doing some VPN voodoo and got it working.
