Nettica is no longer around and would love to see support for another external DNS host such as DNS Made Easy. Since Dyn acquired Nettica a few years ago, we we forced to leave Nettica as they were no longer accepting service renewals. We moved to DNS Made Easy who also has a great API like Nettica did and would love to see support for them. They have released modules for other windows control panels, so I would love to see support within SolidCP. We had hoped for DNSMadeEasy for years with WebsitePanel and it never came. Having to manually provision DNS is slow and a burden, and we have no desire to run DNS servers locally.
Hello,
Sorry for my delayed response.
I was trying to get an vote on the subject before replying but as weekend kicked in i wasn't able to in reasonable time (everyone has an equal vote here so i can't make a decision on my own).
I personally think we can add this on our roadmap for v3 ( + - 4 months away from stable). but i will confirm this hopefully by monday.
Besides the general roadmap we plan to introduce bountysource / community votes as well in the near future to further supply what people want or need. (in the end it is really a community aimed project so everyone has an equal vote :))
Regards,
Marco
Thanks Marco.
Although I am not a .net developer (ColdFusion developer for 10+ years), I'd be happy to help any way I can. I'd be happy to alpha/beta test should you choose to include this feature in your roadmap. DNS Made Easy does offer free sandbox service for testing/developing with their API.
Very much looking forward to seeing what you bring to the table with SolidCP in the future. It is refreshing to see new life to the former WebsitePanel after years of neglect.

I have added it to the roadmap of v1.1.0:
https://git.key4ce.com/SolidCP/v1.0/milestones/2
As the current stable release is to close by to work on a stable version i scheduled it for the next stable release in 3 months and 20 days.
It ofcourse should hit beta more early then that (when that happens i will post an update here).
Awesome! Thanks Marco! I am thrilled you considering it in your roadmap, and very much look forward to its beta.
