Actually it's a limitation on all SQL versions even MariaDB. (I encountered this issue all the way from the beta of WSP)

But i am not sure if the quotations required to allow ASCII chars is around the entire database name (which is do-able code wise) or around the special char in specific (i only glanced over it, but would be worth a test).

Hi Marco,

Thanks for clarifying where the issue originated from, would be good to see it being fixed.

Many of our clients used hyphens in their database names and usernames.

Hello,

We have fixed this and will be included in the next release of SolidCP.

Regards,

Trevor
