Hi there,

we are wanting to back up the SolidCP database but it appears that Windows authentication does not provided sufficient rights to be able to do this. I can see under the table that there are a dbo and a SolidCP user. These must be inbuilt accounts as i don't remember setting the passwords for these accounts. Is it possible to add another SQL account that i can use for backups?

Thanks

Rob

Hello,

When you installed MsSQL normally the user who does the install has admin rights and a password is set for SA.

Did you try:

1) Login with the user used to install MsSQL

2) Try login with SA and and password you may have set.

Failing that you would need to follow the procedure found here: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2012/11/26/the-sql-guy-post-30-how-to-recover-from-a-lost-sa-password-in-sql-server-2012/

Good luck!
