Hello, I am receiving the error “Input string was not in a correct format” when I try to delete an organization user. I can create a user without issue, but when I try to delete I get the error. I was receiving this error on version 1.1.1 and still on 1.1.2. I do not see anything in the audit log either and I am not sure where to look from here. Anybody have any suggestions on this.
Just to let everybody know we did investigate the issue and it appears to be a bug in IE11. Myself and Jason was able to confirm it works in Firefox, Chrome & Edge.
hmm, thats a tricky error that i haven’t seen too often.
can you look in the event log of the Hosted Organization server? (in the Windows Event Log –> Applications log, and the SolidCP log).
In some cases this is caused by to low permissions, so one thing to check is Enterprise Admins added to the application pool SolidCP Server user.
Also double check if you got Deleted Users enabled in the hosting plan, i would highly recommend to not enable this feature (it was poorly made in WebsitePanel and is scheduled to be removed from SolidCP shortly).
Hi Marco, thanks for the reply.
I checked the SolidCP log and it doesn’t write anything to that log when SolidCP throws that error.
I did check IIS Application Pool and the SolidCP user is in the Enterprise Admins group.
Also, in my hosting plan under Hosted Organizations, I have the Deleted Users per organization set to 0 unless there is another way to disable it.
Thanks again for all your hard work!
might or might not be related but I also had that error, removing extra NIC’s from my exchange box sorted 90% of my issues I also added extra permissions to SCPportal, SCPserver, SCPenterprise the permissions I added were
Exchange Trusted Subsystem
not sure if they are required but it sorted my issue I also added NETWORK SERVICE to my exchange installation folder I installed it on a drive other than C: so the permission for NETWORK SERVICE does not get applied to the installation folder if you install it on any other drive.
hope this helps
Hello, sorry for the delay. I tried Hampsons permissions with no luck. Strange thing is that I can create an organization, the organization OU appears under my Hosted OU correctly, I can delete the organization with no problems, I can create the same organization again, create a user, no problem, I can update anything on the user…ie, password, name, company info, contact, etc and all that appears on the user in AD, but if I try to delete it I get the “Input string was not in a correct format”. Nothing was written to any log files that I can find on the domain controller or the 2008 r2 server that has the “hosted organization” service, I also tried moving the “hosted organization” service to 2012 r2 server with same results. Also I have added a 2016 domain controller to the mix, pointed the hosted organization to that server for AD with same result. The only error I can find is on the 2012 “Hosted Organization” server is when I delete the organization I get a warning in the solidcp log.
WARNING: HostedSolution Invoke error: The specified module ‘grouppolicy’ was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory
The users do obviously delete if I delete the organization with the users in it.
