Hi,
First Happy New Year! I'm currently looking at adding my exchange 2013 server to my setup but am unsure on the instructions due to the exchange server running on its own server. Example DC1, EXC1, WEB1 is currently how I have my setup. WEB1 having my SCP installation and main services running from. I watched the video but it seems to give the example from the same server any advise be great.

Happy new year 🙂
Actually the video example was a seperated Portal / Enterprise and a different Exchange 2016 / AD DC server aswell.
The main thing that might be confusing is that i added the Hosted Organization service in solidCP portal to the Exchange server which is something i always do.
That service can be hosted by any domain joined server, the main important thing to remember is to install the Active Directory Powershell module aswell as the Group policy mmc. (their just the mmc parts, so SolidCP can use them to communicate to the actual Active Directory server).
I generally use this method as i hate having my active directory hosting anything besides AD DC role 🙂
Regards,
Marco
apologies on my delay, I just started following but when i try t add second service it says that exchange is not located on this server. Do i need to install the server component onto the exchange box?
Craig
Hello,
You will need to install the SolidCP Server onto the exchange server and then add it in the portal at Configuration -> Servers.
Don't forget to make sure the SolidCP Server user is a member of the AD with the correct rights.
Kind Regards,
Hello,
Yes the SolidCP Server is meant to be installed on the server(s) that host the actual roles them selfs.
Portal and Enterprise are frontend / database modules, Server module is the one executing powershell and wmi scripts on the server which has the role running.
SolidCP Server in Exchange's case requires to be on the CAS server.
Regards,
Marco
