Hello,
I see that it's a Server 2012 template walk-thru, but is it one for Linux (CentOS)?
Thanks
Hello,
Unfortunately at the moment the VPS module requires a sysprep file so CentOS isn't possible.
We are looking into how this can be done and if anybody has ideas please let us know. We are planning a VMM module which will hopefully support Linux.
Kind regards,
Trevor Robinson
How about a command line that runs instead of sysprep as soon as you login to centos, this will set the network ip address and root password !..
Am not an expert in this but thought id share what might be possible 🙂 !...
This idea was already passed to the devs for the creation of the VMM module some months ago :).
Hopefully this module will improve the Linux support, but would need System Center licenses (or Core Infrastructure Suite from SPLA).
As Trevor already told, right now the VPS module only support an unattended.xml file and the SolidCP VM service inside a Win machine to fully communicate and pass the password and IP.
Best regards
Bogdan
