Hi Guys,

this may be a stupid question however is there a way to limit customers to only 1 hosted space as my default hosted space is just adding a domain name then from there its addons.

for example setup hosting space with the domain name test.com.au then customers can add the add ons.

hosted exchange,webhosting,rds, and vps.

is this possible.

Hello,

Technically customers (solidcp users) can not add spaces or addons them selfs.

Only resellers and Serveradmins can.

Resellers can make their own addons / hosting plans which they can assign to their users based up on their own reseller space (so a hosting plan from a serveradmin).

To work with 1 hosting space is more or less common, you can then go to space statistics --> edit (on the right side) and assign addons to the space.

Do note the addons you add need to work with the same server configured in the hosting plan (so recommended is to make that a Virtual Server so you can easily add services in the future).

Regards,

Marco

I am also very confused with spaces, customers and hosting plans.

For example, how to move space from one customer to another?

Unfortunately we do not have any option to move 1 space to another user.

As to how things work:

Hosting plans: Their global plans created by either a Serveradmin or a Reseller which is "sold" (given) to a customer, it defines the limits such as  x amount of domains, space, websites, and which features are enabled.

Hosting Space: This is created and assigned to a specific customer, it's based up on the resources given in a hosting plan. in a hosting space a customer can make things such as domains, websites email accounts etc, where all resources created belong to that specific hosting space (so if you create domain1.com here, only this hosting space can make websites, emails etc under domain1.com )

Regards,

Marco
