Ok, so I have it setup with basic packages being in a shared application pool and more expensive ones being dedicated.
The issue is if someone is in a basic package and then upgrades - they will not be moved to a dedicated pool but even worse, have access to the application pool controls, which of course is still the shared one.
So they can now stop the shared app pool and take down everyone's site!
Hello,
I'm afraid it's in the way solidcp works (it creates the resources and settings on space creation and does not automatically adjust when the hosting plan adjust, it does mean the "new" hosting plan features become available in most cases but does not switch over existing).
To avoid the application pool controls in your case just make sure you have that option disabled in the hosting plan (application pool control is a hosting plan option).

Marco
Hmm, I like the app pool controls as it helps out if someone's site crashes one.
I've noticed btw, if you do the switch - then go to the website properties in SolidCP and just click the "Save Changes" button, it will then create the proper application pools.
Yeah application pool controls can be convenient.
and your right, the way it works then is with the new hosting plan availability options --> it can create them on save (or modify / remove etc).
It just can't create / change automatically on hosting plan change.
