I just registered, thanks for info.    I think the version check is at mdaemon.vb around line 1957.  However, I'm not into compiling and Visual Studio and see the Mdaemon provider is compiled into a .DLL.

I can test the functionality.  I already read throught the mdaemon.vb file and see it works using the Semaphore files and some flags.  Most of them should still work in the latest version, and were it is not working, I can point it out and report.. (for example.. enabling a feature will work using another flag in the new version..)

@roeller, what is the status off these improvements? Did they ever made it into to code?  We would be interested in contributing to this provider.

What about actual versions of MDEAMON? I will use version 18 and solidcp panel says "no version found"
