Hi,
We have server A (Website Panel, ip 5.136.xxx.yyy) and server B (SolidCP ip 162.218.xxx.yyy). Before migrate, we need to do account creation manually on server B. We have add old ip server A on SolidCP. The idea is want to use old ip so we don't have to edit our DNS. User creation is no problem.
But when we attach hosting plan, it become error. Error because old ip that we put in hosting on available at thet moment on server B, currently using on server A. We don't want to mess-up the config. Is there anyway to assign hosting plan with out true ip address? Or we can edit after we assign hosting plan to customer? Advice please.
Thanks.
Hello,
I'm wondering why you don't just migrate the WebsitePanel db to the SolidCP Server --> then run our update_db.sql script and adjust the cipher key on the enterprise web.config, last but not least move ip from A to B and your done.
for SolidCP the IP isn't that important it's mainly used for connection info and IIS IP Settings both can be adjusted at any time.

Marco
If you are doing this exercise just to move away from WebsitePanel, it is best to just convert your existing WebsitePanel server to SolidCP. You should be able to convert your WebsitePanel installation to SolidCP.
