Hi,

I have two windows 2012 servers with DNS service in solidcp and one Virtual server with these two servers added to it. When I add a DNS record only one of the DNS servers is updated. How can I make it update both of the servers?

Thanks

Hello,

SolidCP uses the Primary / Secondary method of MS DNS.

If there's any issues in copying over the records (but the zone is created correctly) it is most likely due to Listening IP not being the correct one.

Most easy way to figure out which IP your secondary uses to copy of the Primary DNS is to simply allow all servers to copy zones for a second, copy it on the secondary dns --> once copied check the logs of the Primary DNS server, it will show you which IP has copied the records.. that ip will need to be entered in the "Allow Zone Transfers: type IP of secondary DNS Server here."

Besides that ofcourse make sure your Listening IP is correct on the Primary (it's what the secondary uses to copy from).

Regards,

Marco
