Hi there,

when creating a new organization, the "root" public-folder of that organization does show up in the other customers outlook. They do not have access, but they can see it. When outlook refreshes (restart) the folder is gone.

How can I prevent that folder from showing up in other customers outlook. I changed the source code so that the organization root public folder gets created in the "NON_IPM_SUBTREEStaging{newfolder-name} , then it inherites client-folder-permissions from "Staging".

After that I move the folder path to "{newfolder-name}", but it still appears in all other customers outlook (sometimes) [ that may take while ]

We are currently using WebsitePanel 2.1.0.944

I should say that several Exchange-Servers are in the environment. Could it be some kind of replication thingy ? Or should I take a totally different approach ?

Hello,

I'm not aware of any issues as described. Can you please let me know which version of exchange you are using?

Kind Regards,

Trevor

What is your default PF Permission?
as it should be set to none

Default-User is set to "none"

Anonymous-User has "none" too..

I have tried out this tutorial  http://www.itnotes.eu/?p=3117, changed source code to create folder in "NON_IPM_SUBTREEStaging{new}", but that does not stop the first pf of an organization to appear in other customers outlook (it disappears, when the user restarts outlook, but if he stays in outlook's public-folder view.. new pf will show there)

We're suffering from this problem too, I had a post on the original WSPanel forum about it with Exchange 2013.

We never got to the bottom of it, and ended up removing PF permissions from the IPM_Subtree, as none of our tenants use PF's at the moment.

It seems to stem from the time delay between creating the public folder (which inherits permissions), and updating (removing) the permissions from it by Website Panel.

During that gap the folder becomes visible to Outlook.

Did you ever manage to get it resolved?

Cheers
